These flowers, and more, await you along the Castle Crest Wildflower Trail. From a parking lot adjacent to the byway, you can take the 0.4 mile walk among the wildflowers. The trail guide brochure, available at the trailhead, will help you identify the flowers and understand their role in the mountain ecosystem. Only during the short summer growing season will you see the flowers. The photos shown here were taken on August 25, 2000, near the end of the season.
